The Old Plank Road Trail stretches from south west Cook County Illinois into Will County, Illinois. The trail is used for cycling, biking, rollerblading and birding. Beginning in Park Forest, Illinois and continuing through Frankfort, Illinois, the trail travels through woodlands, prairies, wetlands and historic neighborhoods. The Old Plank Road Trail has become a highway for cyclists, a sanctuary for birders and naturalists and a scenic wonder for all. It has brought communities together through a common vein that wil eventually reach far across the Illinois landscape.
